Spiritual OVERSEERs

Overseers (Acts 20:17-36; 1 Peter 5:1-5) are (2-3) non-staff-ordained pastors of respected congregations outside Hope Church who know and love Hope Church and the Senior Pastor. These men offer personal wisdom, counsel, and accountability to the Senior Pastor and provide spiritual protection to the church through prayer, helping to counsel the Senior Pastor's spiritual life and ensuring healthy relationships with his wife and family.

ELDERS

Elders are a minimum but not limited to (7) lay Hope Church Partners and select ordained Hope Church Pastors who are determined by the Senior Pastor and confirmed by the other Hope Church Pastors. They are responsible for working alongside the Senior Pastor to offer general wisdom, encouragement, and counsel to the Senior Pastor and to ensure Hope Church’s teaching and practices remain theologically sound. The Senior Pastor, Hope Church Pastors, and Elders are to be above reproach (Titus 1:6-10) and must have a deep commitment to pray for and serve the needs and ministry of the church (1 Peter 5:1-5). We believe that those responsible for overseeing doctrine in the church (the Senior Pastor, Hope Church Pastors, and Elders) must meet several rigorous qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9), one of which being that they must be male. This is because we believe God ordained the family unit, with the father (male) as the head of the home, to serve as a model for the entire church. (1 Timothy 3:2, Titus 1:6).

SENIOR PASTOR

The Senior Pastor is spiritually responsible for providing biblical vision and direction for Hope Church (Hebrews 13:17), defining and communicating the vision and values, providing spiritual leadership and prayer, and overseeing the day-to-day ministry alongside the Hope Church Pastors and Directors.

TEAM

Hope Church is a staff-led church; strategic, spiritual, financial, and ministry decisions are to be made by a team of Hope Church Ordained Pastors. Our Hope Church Lead Team is determined by our Senior Pastor and consists of select Ordained Pastoral Staff who have served on staff at Hope Church and have been ordained for a minimum of 3 years.

FINANCE
TEAM

This non-staff team provides financial oversight and leadership for Hope Church. This team consists of mature spiritual lay leaders from the Church with proven experience making important financial decisions. The Finance Team works with the Operations Pastor to ensure compliance with church corporation management policies by approving the major non-budgeted financial commitments for the Church and by approving the annual budget.

MINISTRY
TEAM LEADERS

This is a non-staff team comprised of men and women who are fully participating Hope Church Partners, living out Hope Church’s Core Values as demonstrated by their leadership. Those serving on this team know and love Hope Church and are known and respected by the entire staff. While this team does not have any formal authority, they can offer general wisdom, encouragement, and counsel to Hope Church Pastors, Ministry Directors, and Elder Team regarding the overall spiritual health of Hope Church.  But their primary role is to provide the Body with prayer and leadership (e.g., counsel, teach, lead groups, etc.) (Acts 18:24-28, Acts 18:2-3 & 2 Timothy 4:19).

MINISTRY
DIRECTORS

The Ministry Directors provide practical ministry oversight and leadership to their specific teams and associated part-time staff. They are responsible for maintaining their ministry areas within the vision and mission of Hope Church. The Ministry Directors are also responsible for implementing policies and managing their ministry budgets.
